That's weird. Grayscale 8-bit cats were common in the late 80's. Back in the 90's we had 8-bit, 256 color cats.

90s? My man, I don't know how young you are, but when the 90s came around, that's when we all collectively shat ourselves in delight about the Super Nintendo because we were finally making the jump to 16-bit. It was all over commercials at Christmastime. Our parents hated us. "YAY, 16-BIT! That's double the bits! Soo high-tech!"

8-bit is totally 80s, home slice.
