We left the town of El Chalten early in the morning to hike to Laguna de Los Tres. (One of the best view points of Monte Fitz Roy). The hike was approximately 22km round trip but could be done in a single day since the terrain was most flat and well maintained. I took this picture of Fitz Roy on our return back into town while we were passing Laguna Capri.
Superb photo. Are there many marked trails in the area? Is it quite easy to turn up and walk? I have good navigational skills and plenty of experience, but often you are pushed to having a guide regardless which isn't normally my personal preference.
