I had a friend who did that. He lived in the bursar's quarters in a local cathedral (because he was the bursar) and when the crumbling old plaster was removed it revealed a mural from the 1400s...
The wall was replastered but that mural is still exposed behind an embedded glass pane.
I work construction and can draw decently well. I draw little cartoons and caricatures on 2x4s and other stuff that will be covered up until someone renovates it and they will find my little scribbles. I like to think in 20-30 years someone will find it and wonder who drew it and why. Idk it’s kind of cool I think
