I teach at this high school. Kinda surprising to see us on Reddit. It's a good school but we are on the poor side of the RR tracks (literally) and usually the news focuses on the negative (like the theft) rather than the hundreds of stories like this that also occur on a regular basis. Nice to see some recognition of the positive. Go Panthers.

When I was in the third grade, we had a house fire and lost pretty much everything. Our church hosted an event for us and helped us to get back on our feet. We moved into a rental and it was pretty hard on my younger siblings and I. After we had settled in, I went back to school and all of my classmates had pitched in to buy me a brand new GameCube to replace the one we lost. I still have it to this day and it always reminds me of the friends I eventually had to move away from.

"Goddammit, we gotta do something for him" His classmates after reading this. Amazing by the students to help him.
