Thank you for writing to me about the importance of net neutrality. During my more than eight years as an FCC Commissioner, I have consistently called upon the Commission to adopt clear, robust, bright-line net neutrality rules, grounded in light touch Title II classification of broadband Internet access service, as the best way to protect consumers against the anti-consumer and anti-competitive practices of broadband providers.
I voted in support of the FCC’s 2015 Open Internet rules, which properly reclassified this service as a Title II telecommunications service, and continue to believe they represent the best way to protect consumers and small businesses while promoting innovation and investment.
