The FCC has 5 members, and is split in a partisan manner with 3 members of the party in power, and 2 members of the opposition party. When a Republican seat opened up during his term, Obama appointed Ajit Pai at the recommendation of Mitch McConnell.
He was promoted from FCC member to FCC chairman by Donald Trump, shortly after he was sworn in.

1- People have been fighting for net neutrality since at least 2012 when the SOPA/PIPA were announced
2- Your father was the one who appointed Pai as chairman of the FCC
3- Even if people just found out yesterday why the fuck are you complaining about people fighting for their rights.
