These guys really bum me out. I feel like they're lonely and/or neglected and need someone to reach out to them...but there's 1000 of them and one of me. Also what if they're mean or gross

Has anyone else had these feelings?

I work in an East Tennessee mall where there used to be a program that brought seniors who lived in a near by nursing home by. The program was eventually canceled before I began working there for reasons unknown to me. There was one senior whose name I think is Benny who enjoyed it so much he was crushed to stop going. He is on the autism spectrum but is rather high functioning, I'm not exactly sure what it is he has, but he has really good social skills and confidence to speak with mall employees and customers alike. My understanding of it is that some of the higher ups at the mall heard about how let down Benny was by this that they made him a job there and gave him a "title," that has no real power other than to make the man happy. Everyday he comes in from about 9 (open) to around 4/5 and walks from store to store talking to employees and customers. He has two meals in the food court that I believe are paid for and he occasionally shops around in the various stores. Everyday he comes in and asks who the manager is at the time and how everyone is doing. He remembers everyone's names after the first time he meets them and everyone knows him. One of the best "bosses" I've ever had.

Edit: grave mistake, dude's name is actually Danny.
