Would it be possible for us to impose upon you for a hiragana version? This is AMAZINGLY helpful.

I thought this said Katana and was impressed your daughter was learning particular strikes, and impressed that commonly used sequences were so complex. This is still a beautiful guide.

I work with a Japanese guy and he told me once that the order and direction is essential but he couldn't elaborate.

Can you tell me? Does it make a difference which order and direction the strokes are made? Doesn't the end result justify the mean? Please don't be insulted with these questions, I'm genuinely curious.

For instance, my daughter draws all her (arabic) numbers and (latin) letters in a very different way I do, but at the end, they look like they should so it doesn't bother me.
