Honestly it’s pretty fucked up to leave the man you’ve raised burning with no limbs on an active volcanic planet. Take him with you to treat his injuries and then put him in jail if you have to. Leaving someone for dead doesn’t really seem like the jedi way to me. I don’t know if it would matter in the end as order 66 had already been carried out and he would have shown back at the temple with everyone dead or whatever but at least he wouldn’t have been Darth Vader.
Well, I mean its a lot better than "This is your father's lightsaber, he used it to murder several children. He hated sand and died in a fire. Now, have you heard of the force?"
