This is Doug Jones- a Patriotic Alabama Democrat known for prosecuting KKK terrorists who murdered four little girls. Jones is running against Roy Moore- a serial child molester who has been removed from the Al. Supreme Court for violating the Constitution. Twice. Support Patriots, not pedophiles.

I decided to make a post in support of Doug Jones after seeing this article about Roy Moore.

I think it was great at the time when families were united–even though we had slavery–they cared for one another…Our families were strong, our country had a direction.

-Roy Moore

There is not enough I could possibly say to express the deep disgust that I feel for Roy Moore. Not only does he seem to think that what makes America great is a lack of freedom, he has taken a stand against everything that is supposed to represent American democratic values. A few examples include:

Moore argued that Americans deserved 911.

He has compared modern day America to the Soviet Union, and said that America is "the focus of evil in the modern world". His example to support this? The equal rights of gay Americans.

Moore promoted the lies that Obama is a foreign-born Muslim.

Moore supported the "Constitution Restoration Act", which sought to "acknowledgment of God as the sovereign source of law, liberty, or government" - in direct violation of the First Amendment.

In a November 2017 speech at a revival in Jackson, Roy Moore stated that "they started [to] create new rights in 1965, and today we've got a problem" in an apparent reference to the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

Moore foundation hosted events for racist and treasonous neo-Confederacy groups.

He is an anti-science creationist, who believes that teaching evolution to kids leads to increases in drive-by shootings.

He is against free speech, and claimed that football players who kneel are breaking the law.

Repeatedly attacked the rights of LGBT Americans, including saying that trangender people "don't have rights".

Argued that judges who rule in favour of LGBT rights should be impeached (maybe just a little bitter about his own multiple removals).

Endorsed banning Muslims from serving in congress, and endorsed a religious test for public office. Again in violation of the 1st Amendment.

has strongly praised Russian President Vladimir Putin, stating that he is maybe "more akin to me than I know [myself]".

And, just to restate it again, he is a serial child molester who now has the endorsement and financial support of the Republican Party. This is just another example that makes clear how Republicans are unwilling to uphold any standard of human decency, and are willing to undermine American values in order to push their ideological agenda.

edit: Because the users of this sub are so terrific, many people have helped contribute to the discussion by asking for sources. As I mentioned in a comment below, which everyone might not see, the information itself was taken from Roy Moore's wikipedia article. Also, /u/Kleatherman was helpful enough to collect sources here. For which he was given the "Comey Award for Honest Loyalty".

Please remember to upvote commenters asking for sources on disputed claims of facts. Rule 6 says that we should always expect people to provide credible sources to back up any assertions that are made. Users that maliciously ignore this rule will be banned.

TLDR; How he was appointed and removed to the Alabama Supreme Court twice?

Edit: Here's how he got in twice.

But was he removed by the governor twice? The US Supreme Court?

I’m not a liberal or an Alabaman. We need to stop siding with parties and pick the best people for the job regardless of party. I don’t know shit about this guy but the fact the Moore has these crazy allegations AND he’s Bannons guy should be enough to not vote for him.
