After 13 years of marriage, multiple failed infertility treatments, and years of being on a wait list, We have finally been able to officially welcome this little dude to our family.
I've been in the same spot. After 19 years of marriage an adoption situation came up with a friend of a friend of friend. He's now 11 years old and the best thing that ever happened to us.
I was adopted at, what I would guess, is roughly the same age as the little man. I was raised by wonderful people who I'm very happy to refer to as Mom and Dad. People like you and them make literal worlds of difference for people like me. I wish you three all the best!

The fact that he feels comfortable enough to be asleep in your arms tells me he was your family before now. But it’s nice to make it official.
