When disassembling items, punch your screws thru some cardboard and label the sets. This will help you retain your hardware, remember placement and order of reassembly
I use small clear cups and place the screws on a cup as I go along. I compartmentalize it by using a new cup and stacking it on the old one. That way, when I have to put it all back together I'll naturally reach for the top cup
