I feel like OP may not have been bullshitting on purpose- I'm guessing Op's mom fed him/her that story and your expertise just ruined it. I'm a parent and if there weren't enough baby teeth to make a complete set I wouldn't tell my kids the dentist had to throw in a few extra. It's the thought that counts.

The most shocking thing about this is that the dentist said plastic teeth are more expensive than real teeth.
