During our first session of the new campaign, one of my players asked if his character could run home to get a few supplies before the party began their adventure. Then the player disappeared into his bedroom for a few minutes before striding back to the table wearing a vibrant, magnificent cape. He sat with all the confidence in the world while the rest of the group laughed their asses off. Completely deadpan, he said, "Okay, I'm ready. Where are we going?"
Turned up to a first dnd session knowing only the DM in chainmail and a full plate helmet I have for LARPing for the lolz. Gotta make good first impressions!
