If you ever want to find deals like this Kroger marks down kitchen place items after a shelf reset to get rid of them. I know it's kind of a hassle but if you can find out who the Drug/GM manager is you could ask them if the have an upcoming kitchen place reset they know about. Then check the next few day or ask about markdowns. Don't annoy or bother these people if they are obviously too busy. Be friendly and if they help you help them mention their customer service to a Store Manager it always helps. I have gotten a 100 dollar knife set for 20 a SodaStream for 12, they mark stuff down way below cost just to get rid of it.
There's a fair bit of cheap cast iron cookware being sold these days that just ... doesn't last. It's surprising, but between poor manufacturing and poor materials, it is definitely possible to make pans that suck.
Sadly the old Griswold and Wagner stuff is near-impossible to find, but I haven't found a reputable brand other than Lodge. Though I have considered milling and reselling them ... their surfaces take a bit longer to be good than a proper milled surface.

Are these of respectable quality?
