I teach 8th grade. This week, my homeroom took an angel off the “giving tree” - a little girl. All she asked for was a bike & clothes. My kids all agreed to bring in $2 each & we’d buy her clothes bc we couldn’t afford to get the bike. Then today, very quietly one of them came to my room with this

This is a wonderful story. Did you cry when the student rolled the bike in? I would have lost it!

My son had his bike stolen about a year or so ago. He had asked for money from all of his relatives for his birthday in order to purchase the bike he wanted. It was taken right out of the garage at his moms house (Open air, carport-style... no garage door). There was a report that someone had seen the bike left in a ditch down the street where evidently the thieves stole a car and left the bike. My son went door to door asking if anyone had seen his bike because it was no longer in the ditch. One man in particular asked him a lot of specific questions about his bike. My son came home from school a couple of days later to find his exact bike (Brand New version) In the garage. The man had purchased a replacement for him to let him know that there are good people in this world and not everyone is a thief. The man’s actions have left an undeniable impression on my son.
