My friend's cat would wander over to the local church that hosted 3 AA meetings a week. WIthout her knowing, the cat became their pet mascot and was for several years. They didn't know where the cat came from until one of them spotted the cat on the friend's porch. Now it's a running joke about how the cat led 2 very different lives.
