I see everybody saying this is because regedit isn’t supposed to show up unless you know what you’re looking for and all that, but this regularly happens to me when looking for things that aren’t potentially system destroying.
Yeah, I would like a setting where I can turn off web searches. I just want to search for items on my computer, not the web. If I wanted to search the web, I could just open the browser.
I type fast so I finish writing the full thing and click Enter and it fucking opens Internet Explorer to search Bing for “Control Panel”.
And anything within Control Panel no longer can be searched in that dopey search bar. Used to be able to quickly find and go to Power Options to turn off that fucking stupid Fastboot bullshit (that they keep secretly reenabling for me) but now I can’t accurately search for Power Options.
Same with Programs and Features to delete a program.
