They saw this guy at Walmart tonight with a cart full of stuffed animals. When he was asked why, he told them that every year he dresses up as Santa & walks the halls of the children’s ER & delivers one to each child. That's a pretty kick ass hobby.
I had to spend Christmas in the hospital one year because my daughter had an allergic reaction.
I don't know if it was this guy, but someone dressed as Santa came by and gave her a stuffed animal. I always assumed he was hired by the hospital, I never considered that someone might have done this on their own.
Could you imagine if the Hospital worked with him and they were like "what is your favourite animal?" and then 3 days later this fucking beautiful man comes in with that animal? Those kids would be blown away.
When I was 16 I was admitted to a children's hospital for 9 days and on day 1, they handed me a pink beanie baby sized puppy toy and apologized that they didn't have something more "age appropriate." Even 6 years later I still have that toy... It made a rough few weeks a little more enjoyable at least.
