Last week’s “The Walking Dead” enjoyed gains in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.

This week’s episode gave back those gains — and then some.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Sunday’s “TWD” drew a 3.42 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 7.85 million overall viewers.

The numbers trail the 3.87 rating and 8.69 million viewer mark drawn last week. They also trail the 3.79 rating and 8.52 million viewer sum posted by the November 5 episode.

From a live+same-day standpoint, this week’s broadcast was the least-watched episode since season two.

Despite that distinction, it was still Sunday’s #1 cable original in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.

— “The Walking Dead” led into “Talking Dead,” which drew a 1.09 rating and 2.62 million viewers this week. Last week’s “Talking” was good for a 1.28 rating and 3.12 million viewers.

I was into this show for a bit but I got fed up when it seemed like they valued shock value over everything else. I think it was

the demise of Beth that set me off. It was the dumbest, most asinine way for someone to die and it literally made no sense aside from the show felt like it was time to shit out a gutwrenching death. There are a million interesting stories to tell in TWD world and the show only seemed interested in telling the same ones over and over

Shame, because it was a great show for a while

Remember that one episode where they went to that new town and made some friends, made some enemies, and there was a zombie attack? That episode really stood out for me.

All they do is string you along until the last episode of a season when something finally happens. I would like to see them start discovering the global implications of the outbreak rather than just fighting each other in the woods.
