My favourite thing was when I messaged a favourite YouTuber of mine to say that his videos had helped me hugely when I was really struggling with depression. Wasn't really expecting a response, just wanted him to know what a difference he could make, but he sent a really lovely email that was just amazing.
Dude's name is Teo, for those interested, and he's just a generally lovely guy who makes brilliant videos.
Reminds me of this story someone shared on Reddit about his experience with meeting a stranger on a ski lift who helped him not be suicidal anymore. Turned out the stranger was Danny Devito.
