About this capture: I hope this qualifies for earhtporn, as I know the landscape is all shadowy - but it is also a part of what I wanted to share - the green illumination of the landscape by the aurora. This was a KP level 7, which I believe equals a geomagnetic storm of 3. These numbers don't necessary mean that there are going to be a lot of northern lights. The explosions come and go, so one needs to know where to go (somewhere dark preferably) and wait for it to happen. There is a bit of light, then another, and before you know it the whole sky is exploding. No feeling compares to this.
