John Cleese has perfected the art of being hilarious, while also being seldom seen.

I saw him recently on his tour where they play Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and then he comes on stage with a moderator who asks him questions which just leads to him telling hilarious stories of his life.

I went with my parents, because when I was growing up, my dad and I shared a love of Monty Python and the Flying Circus, and my mom adored Fawlty Towers.

Going with the two people I love most in this world to see a man who makes us all laugh riotously, and to do so now as we're all aging (John Cleese included)... well, it was a fantastic experience which will make for a wonderful memory.

Thanks, John Cleese.

When I was touring the Globe in London last month the tour guide stopped us outside where all the fundraising donors have their names carved into concrete blocks on the ground. She showed us Michael Pallin's block. That's Pallin with two L's. Apparently John Cleese made a large donation on his behalf and spelled Palin's name wrong on purpose so it would remain incorrectly spelled outside the Globe for all to see, forever.
