There's a funny story related to this which really happened. German propaganda said that the Jews controlled the world's economy. Japan read this, and thought having a bunch of Jews would improve their economy, plus earn favor from other countries secretly ruled by Jews. So they saved about 22,000 Jews from the Holocaust, and didn't kill the Jews they already had.
