How about instead of limiting it to men hitting women and children...we say anyone hitting their spouse or children.

Edit2: okay god damn I didn't expect to open a Can of worms this big... just to be clear IM TALKING ABOUT WHAT DAVID SAID IN THE TWEET. also, just putting this out there, women can be violent against their spouse to the point of murder too.

It'd be nice if the Pentagon actually updated when people are discharged for that so they can't get a gun. You can't expect the law to work when it's not enforced.

Edit: some comments seem to not understand the context. The Tweet is stating that people who cause domestic violence shouldn't own a gun because the Texas shooter was discharged because of domestic violence. The Pentagon never updated his information labeling him as a person who committed domestic violence so he was able to purchase a firearm even though a law was in place to stop it already.
