Syria has reportedly signed the Paris climate agreement.

The Independent reported that Syria signed the accord. The move leaves the U.S. as the only country in the world that is not supporting it.

The report comes after Nicaragua last month signed the agreement, which left the U.S. and Syria as the only two countries not supporting it.

President Trump announced in June he would be withdrawing from the Paris climate change agreement, calling it "unfair."

“The bottom line is that the Paris accord is very unfair at the highest level to the United States,” Trump said at the time.

Aren’t we on track to meet and exceed the pros climate agreement though?

The US is going to meet the targets in the accord anyway, signing would require to pay into a large unregulated fund. Also, Russia signed with zero intention to do anything.

Well somebody has to stand up for unbridled corporate greed at the cost of the environment! Won’t somebody think of those poor oil executives who will only be able to afford to buy several small islands at this point?

What’s the point of having an environment if we can’t burn it for fuel?
