Very cute pic. But I'm that guy. That guy who cringes when sees older dogs and puppies together. From the white on the older dog's face. I assume the dog is eight or older. I go by my experience with GRs which is limited to gal I knew for like six years who had four GRs with the oldest being ten.

Don't get me wrong, an older dog with a puppy in the house can get the older dog moving and playful again. Which can be incredibly good for the older dog. But my old boy. He can't handle puppies. Oh he loves to meet them but after a minute or two, he's done as he's sixteen and too old to play how they like (I don't take him to the dog park during typical hours because puppies tend to play too rough with him). Wife is out of town and my buddy dropped off his super needy chow-pitt mix (sweetheart dog), and I had to take over the couch and put my boy in my recliner (he sleeps in it when I'm not home) as the three year old love bug kept cuddling him against his will causing him to get off the couch and lay by me to only have her laying on him for some affection. So now I'm watching TV with her between my legs occassionally sniffing my feet. Oh and I'm high.

I wonder if older dogs remember when they were puppies, and that's why they can be so patient...
