About the image: taken through several exposures, because it turned out difficult to control the details in the sky, the land AND the reflection at the same time. For that reason I took three photos of the same scene with different settings and merged them together to show the details in the whole scenery. I used a wide angle lens here and f9 aperture - f9 is often the best to use for maximum sharp details. It is taken from a standing point of view.

About the location: this is one of many mountains in Lofoten islands in Northern Norway. I discovered this spot randomly when hiking upwards towards the mountains from the tiny village called Nusfjord. Just following my instinct. I noticed a waterfall in the village so I knew there would be at least one lake higher up, and there actually were three! The scenery you can see here is only a slice of what you see if you turn to either side. I am processing a different photo that shows the mountain on the right side, I think it is equally spectacular.

Taken this September, 27th I think. If interested in more scenery like this feel free to drop by and say hello on instagram as I add new stuff there once or twice a week, and not everything qualifies for earthporn unfortunately.
