The estate tax affects ~ 0.2% of American families.
When asked, Americans THINK it affects approximately 25% of American families.
Up to 25% of Americans think they are affected by the estate tax and up to 50% think they will one day be affected by the estate tax.
It's the illusion of the American dream, that we are all just temporarily embarrassed millionaires.

Estates under $11 million for married people, or $5.5 million for individuals, are ALREADY exempt from federal estate tax. This repeal will benefit only the richest one third of one percent of Americans.
