Now that we're adults, my sister and I love to spend a night just rewatching old episodes we used to not even bat an eye at as kids.
But now we usually laugh at the jokes. I don't know if it's the nostalgia or something but they really are the best.
Really reminds you that spongebob, even if it is a kids show, was written by adults.
edit: A lot of people seem to be missing the point of my last line. I just mean that the jokes were meant to appeal to adults too. Don't take it too literally.
