Honestly, I understand their position and think it’s top notch that they returned it telling him they couldn’t/didn’t review it. It’s far worse just to let them blow in the wind never really knowing what happened. They didn’t HAVE to send this letter, but they went out of their way and did.

I bet he was thrilled! When I was too young and dumb to know better I sent a script to Steven Spielberg. It arrived back months later, unopened, with "Amblin Universal Do Not Accept Unsolicited Material" stamped on it; I was so excited it had been stamped by Amblin Universal!
