I wonder how rich you had to be to have a multi-page blank notebook just for your kid to doodle in?
I'm pretty sure paper was super expensive in 1442. I remember that the monks copying documents by hand would overwrite existing written documents writing at a 90 degree angle to the original text.
Anyone have the price of paper / notebooks from the time?
