When I did a class in archaeology, the teacher said she had previously had a student who had to drop out because he couldn't get past his religious beliefs. She would say that something was say 30,000 years old and he would pipe up saying it wasn't possible. Or she would bring up the Out of Africa theory and he would dispute that too.
I believe she eventually had to have a "I don't think this is going to work" talk with him
