You know people laugh at Bidoof but there is a reason why it’s banned in almost all competitive pokemon meta-games.
Basically Bidoof has an ability called Moody. At the end of every turn, moody gives Bidoof +2 to one stat (Attack/Defense/Special Attack/Special Defense/ Speed/ Accuracy/ Evasion) and -1 to one different stat at random. So if a Bidoof (or it’s evolution Bibarel) can stall a few turns with moves like protect and substitute, it can potentially have a stat like evasion (Increases the chance that an enemy attack will miss) maxed out which makes it extremely annoying to deal with. If it can survive longer, it will eventually get x4 of every single stat and becoming a sweeping machine.
So yeah that’s why Bidoof (with moody) is pretty op and banned from competitive play.
TLDR: Bidoof can become a god with the right ability and luck.
