Caitlyn Jenner Finally Sees The Light: Trump “Is By Far The Worst Administration Ever Towards The LGBT Community”

Mark your calendars: Caitlyn Jenner has finally given up on Donald Trump.

In an interview with Los Angeles’ KABC-TV, the reality star called the Trump administration the “worst ever” for LGBT rights. “I was hoping for a lot better than this,” she said. “And I was somewhat optimistic and I thought this guy is going to be okay. He has totally, totally disappointed me.”

Jenner, a registered Republican, encouraged giving Trump a chance during the campaign and early days of his presidency. But as the White House levies more and more attacks—from endorsing homophobic religious-freedom laws to reinstating the ban on trans service members—she’s reached her limit.

“They are by far the worst administration ever towards the LGBT community—and particularly the trans community,” Jenner admitted, adding that it’s time “to gather together… and fight what they’re doing.”

Previously, Jenner struck a more conciliatory tone: In April, she told Diane Sawyer, “I’m trying to get the Republican party to make a change.” (Asked if she thought GOP leaders like Mike Pence and Mitch McConnell would take her calls, she replied, “I know they will.”)

Two months later, Jenner told The View she was “working behind the scenes” with the White House on LGBT issues.

But by August, when she apologized for wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat in public, Jenner told TMZ “what [Trump] is doing to our community is absolutely fucking awful.”
