If you cut along the short edge of the point, you'll get two triangle shaped pieces again.

Don't give up hope. Cut on red to get a larger piece, you can cut on pink as well for two smaller pieces. Nice and neat again.
Might add that I can't imagine why anyone would cut it like this other than to annoy you. It's a two-slice cut, takes longer than doing it properly.
