As cool as that looks, I would probably get pretty irritated when my pen kept rolling off the table and whenever the sun shone through the window and reflected off it right into my face. For the latter, a little paint could fix that.

That is actually most likely a horizontal stabilizer, as the point where it would be attached is way too narrow. Interesting nonotheless very cool.
