This just proves what we all knew: Death Star suffered a cataclysmic reactor failure during testing due to rushed construction by contracted wookies. Rebels just fabricated a "trench run" to claim responsibility but didn't have the production quality to show an accurate curved trench! I mean really who's bright idea was it to trust a bunch of tree living sasquatches to build a battlestation the size of a moon!? Budget cuts! That's our real enemy!
To those thinking OP is suggesting the Death Star is flat, what OP is REALLY saying is that the illegal propaganda films put out by the revels purporting to show a successful destruction of this station by a group of teenagers and their second hand starships are the obvious fakes: they used models and computer graphics to mock up a fake set, but forgot to show the true spherical shape of the station in their dangerous, vile films.
