Worked in Yellowstone NP this summer, one weekend I went with some friends and hiked the Highline trail and Grinnel Glacier trail (where this is taken from. This shows Grinnel Lake, the glacier isn't really visible from here). Most beautiful place I've ever been.

I worked in Glacier for 2 summers when I was a youngin' ('89 and '90). Absolutely beautiful place, but I'm sorry to see the remaining glaciers disappear. They only looked like big snowfields back then anyway, but you don't wanna lose them.

The Highline Trail was my favorite hike. And Many Glacier Valley is breathtaking but if you go, try not to get eaten by a grizzly for obvious reasons.

We have a very similar picture I took on our wall!

We went this summer, and this hike is probably my favorite hike ever. We did it as an acclimation hike the day before we backpacked the Gunsight Pass Trail. We came out of the backcountry the day before they turned people back because of the Sperry fire.

One day I’ll make a post here with some of my other photos; Glacier is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been.
