These are Red Eyed Crocodile Skinks from New Guinea, Indonesia, and can now be found in small populations in Austrailia. Before everyone goes out and purchases one from an expo or online just be aware that most of these guys are imported/field collected and die from stress in captivity fairly quickly. There jave been many instances of successful captive breeding of which you can purchase from a reputable breeder, you just have to do your research and not buy on impulse. Reptile Magazines website offers full care sheets and information on all species of reptile including these guys. Good luck to anyone who took the time to read this and have decided to learn more about them.

Edit: I did not expect to get a lot of attention for this comment, someone pointed out that they orginiate from New Guinea and Indonesia. That is completely accurate.

Although because of the importation of these animals there has been recorded populations in Australia in the past several years.
