Episode 2 of “The Orville” got a decent lift from the first three days of delayed viewing, moving ahead of the Emmy Awards among adults 18-49.

The FOX show grew by 0.6 points in the 18-49 demographic (2.2 to 2.8) in the Live +3 ratings for the week of Sept. 11. That’s two tenths better than the Emmys (2.6), which like most live broadcasts didn’t get much of a lift.

“Sunday Night Football” remained No. 1 by wide margins in both adults 18-49 and total viewers.

I don't particularly like McFarlane, but I enjoyed The Orville. I consider myself a fan of the show and I can't wait to see where it goes this season.

After 3 episodes, I now consider myself a fan. If you like Star Trek, and you have a sense of humor, watch it.
