This holds really true for me. I thought I was crap at drawing and couldn't draw for the life of me. Until a nephew asked me to draw his favorite cartoon character and I decided it didn't need to be perfect, just look like it. And voila I had drawn the best drawing I had to date. I realised every other time I had attempted to draw, I wanted it to be perfect from the first try, if it didn't work, I'd chuck it.
