James Stewart performs a handie as a China Clipper, one of Jimmy's more than 300 such handies. He is so good at the new game, in fact, that Pete Smith, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's rapid chatter expert, has asked him to direct handies in a new Goofy Sports short subject. Stewart currently stars as one of Joan Crawford's four leading men in The Gorgeous Hussy, in competition with Robert Taylor, Franchot Tone, and Melvyn Douglas.

I live in his hometown and every crosswalk on the main street says in his voice "this is Jimmy Stewart..." and counts down the time you have to cross the road. I don't know if I love him or hate him from how obsessed this town is of him.
