I work for an agency which rings me sometime during the week and asks if I can work certain shifts, I literally go to sleep every night with anxiety because they could ring in the morning and I'll have to answer.
Imo talking to someone irl is much easier than talking on the phone, anxiety wise. Read that it has to do with the fact that you can't see people's expressions and emotions when conversing with you.
