Many new "HE" Top load Washers have an "Infuser Disc" in the bottom instead of a traditional agitator. The Infuser is way easier on your fabrics because it moves the water thru the clothing instead of the clothing thru the water. It folded the towel like this because of the upward flow in the center and the downward flow of the water at the sides. This towel is a sign you bought a good washer! 👍
