Lol nice. In case you can't read it, it says "If you were a pineapple.... you'd be a FineApple XOXO" complete with sunglasses-wearing pineapple

Heyyyy this is a travel hobby of mine. I always write vague instructions, locations and payment amounts on these pads and throw away the note. I just want the next guest to wonder if the last guest was a hitman.

I am old. This was hot detective stuff on cop shows back in the seventies. They would track the suspect to a cheap motel, and the cleverest of the detectives would discover the residual writing on the notepad that would give them their next lead.

And, since nobody else has referenced yet, maybe I have to be the one to tell you what to do with it if it wasn't pressed hard enough to read. You take a pencil, hold it flat against the paper and 'shade' the paper grey. The writing will stand out white.

<edit> along with the 'residual writing', another hot crime busting technique was soil analysis. The lab spooks - what would be called CSIs today - would vacuum the getaway car or hotel room and find some soil that fell off the suspects shoes. They'd analyse it back at the lab and find out that the culprit had recently been to ... south-western Tennessee.
