This applies just as well to toddlers.

I had to call pet poison control because I got one out of the two pills in my dogs mouth. Paid $60 to learn the pill was acetaminophen or ibuprofen (brought the dog to my then-gfs house and apparently had some pills under the kitchen counter).

They recommended having the dog drink milk with some hydrogen peroxide in it to get him to throw up. After the second bowl he still didn't throw up. Decided not to keep poisoning my dog for the day. He was fine.

I have to do this so frequently that I had a neighbor ask if I was abusing my dog. She literally walked up to me and asked "Why do you keep doing that? Are you abusing her?" I replied that I hoped if she ever developed a taste for feral cat shit that she'd have someone who cared enough to do the same for her. She walked away, but apparently found it funny once she'd crossed the street and started laughing. My neighborhood is strange.
