Of course it's hard. It's why the phrase "don't

judge a book by its cover" exists.

And not to get all Aesop's Fables on you, but

the moral is pretty easy to see.

Interesting side note on an embarrassing moment that happened to me recently.

I was browsing through my local independent bookstore and my eye was drawn to the cover of one particular book. The cover made it look interesting so I pulled it off the shelf to see what it was.

Only to discover I'd already read it. Because my sister wrote it. Weird.
