A composite I made from several exposures ranging from 1/2000 all the way up to 2 seconds. When I included a 2-second exposure in the construction of the composite, you can actually see some details on the moon. This is due to sunlight being reflected off the Earth's surface onto the moon, also known as earthshine. While this couldn't be seen with the naked eye during totality since it got overwhelmed by the brightness of the corona, it can definitely be seen in longer exposures.

I saw the eclipse in person. This is far more accurate to what I actually saw than most I've seen out there. Thanks for the explanation as to why too!

Do you have any higher resolution files by chance I'd love to make this the background on my PC. 3440x1440.
