Can't believe this guy is still around. I grew up in Baytown Texas and he used to come give motivational speeches to my school in the eighties. He's also the original (I'm pretty sure) guy who jumps up and down and screams "Save you money." Which I've seen other furniture stores now do here in Biloxi MS.
There's a petition to create Mattress Mack Day as a local holiday for all he has do e for the city. Outside of helping with Harvey, he has also donated to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for years, which provides scholarships for many children in the area. https://www.change.org/p/houston-mattress-mack-day-aug-26
